Unable to connect the AppButler service?

We have recognized some problems with the network connection in some areas. So if you get the error message (like in the screenshot) "No network connection. Unable to connect to the AppButler service. Please check your network settings." check the following steps:

- do you have any internet connection?
- wait some minutes and try it again.
- in cases of longer delay restart your phone.

Sorry for that. We are working on that problem and try to figure it out as soon as possible.

GIZMODO recommends AppButler in "This Week's Best iPhone Apps"

Wow! That's more than a honesty. GIZMODO.com, the blog with more than 6 millionen users (and according to WIKIPEDIA one of Steve Jobs favourite blogs) dedicated to gadgets, gizmos, and cutting-edge consumer electronics, has decorated Appbutler in their column "This Weeks Best iPhone Apps."

"App Butler is a tool to help you keep your apps visually organized, by letter, category, or, well, any parameter you can think of."

But guys, AppButler is not only for "anal retentives" you think of. It's also for "monks", "ordinal bigots" and many more ;-). But thank you for the review and the privilege to be at the "best of the best of the week". Click here to read the full article.

Big bang in Italy and welcome to Philippines

The download figures from the US are still ahaed. But since yesterday, there is a country close up on it's heels: Italy! That's quite surprising. And so we got a closer look with google. Thank you very much indeed for the big press coverage - without having any press release there. We will try to send you some free promo codes for promotional issues. It would be silly to think you might not to outplay the US downloads ;-). And as special bonus, we are proud to list our thirtiest country, with at least one AppButler app: welcome to Philippines.

"One of the most useful thing I’ve seen" (The Appcast.com)

The Appcast.com, one of the leading podcasts for iPhone apps, has reviewed AppButler on their blog. Normally be waiting and talking about this on their podcast, they wrote an extra coverage regarding to our launch and promo price.

"One of the really cool features that I tout about the Jailbreak phones is the ability to do so much more in the way of organizing and categorizing your applications on the Springboard (the ‘home screen’ interface on the iPhone) than you can do with a stock phone. There’s just a lot of limits Apple places on what App Store apps can do regarding it- but AppButler is one of the most useful thing I’ve seen come out that non-jailbreak users can take advantage of to get a bit more customization and organization on their Springboard. [...] The app is actually quite simple and ingenious. The downside is that it will take up more space on the Springboard, but it’s definitely one of the cooler things I’ve seen in the way of app organization for non-JB devices."

A great "Thank you" to the editors of "The Appcast.com". Click here to read the full article.

Organization with page numbers and index on top

That's one of my favourite ways of displaying screen numbers and index icons and orgainze my apps on my iPhone. It's up to you, if you keep the first line only for the screen number and the icons or if the apps are directly attached to the last category icon.

Here we go! 17 countries at one swoop!

Well, that's not what we expected. After our first extraordinary succesful day with astonishing 11!! ;-) downloads, we saw ourselfs sleeping under bridges for the rest of our lifes. But after self doubt withstood or overcome, self-critical scrutiny, curious examination and self-confessed we decided to wait for the next day and the actual download figures from Thursday. (Don't wonder how long such a day can be. You remember your child hood at christmas day waiting for Santa? It has been much more longer ...)

But than we got the first results - and the were awsome! Downloads from 20 countries all over the world: first of all from Canada and Mexico. Europe "stroke" back with downloads from 14 countries starting with Germany, Great Britain, Italy, France, Spain, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland, Greece, Romania up to Austria (Sorry guys! Switzerland was yesterday a few hours ahead. But you have still the better skiiers). And last but not least our first AppButler apps are on Asian iPhones too. Welcome Japan! Welcome Singapore!

11 downloads and a "Grüzi" to Switzerland!

We had yesterday "incredible" - 11 downloads! Well, that's not that much. But there were only a few hours left after the approval. But we are still happy to got started and warmly welcome our "early adopters" from the United States, Brrrrrrazil and - hardly to believe - Switzerland. It seems, the size of a country allows no conclusions to be drawn about the pioneering spirit of its inhabitants. :-))) A "Grüzi" to Switzerland!
